چکیده
Radiation-induced oxidative stress and haematopoietic genomic instability is the major concern during planned or unplanned exposure. Use of natural phytochemicals an emerging strategy to prevent from harmful effects radiation. In current investigation, Quercetin 3-Rutinoside (Q-3-R), a polyphenolic bioflavonoid, has been evaluated against gamma radiation (2Gy) induced genotoxic damage imbalance in mice. Mice were administered with Q-3-R (10mg/kg body weight) 1hr prior irradiation for its antioxidant potential. Anti-genotoxic potential was assessed terms chromosomal aberrations bone marrow cells. Findings revealed that had very high reducing potential, effectively scavenged 1,1-Diphenyl-2-picryl hydrazyl (DPPH) hydrogen peroxide radicals, chelated metal ions inhibited lipid peroxidation dose dependant manner. The glutathione (GSH) levels found elevated (p<0.05), while reduced malondialdehyde (MDA) seen blood liver tissues pretreated Significant (p<0.01) reduction Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) (dicentrics, rings, fragments, end association, robertsonian translocation) following pretreatment present findings demonstrate can minimise radiation-induced damages be explored further used as potent radioprotector humans.

COMP-Ang1, angiopoietin-1 variant protects radiation-induced bone marrow damage in C57BL/6 mice.
Angiopoietin-1 (Ang1) is a vasculogenic factor which is signaled through the endothelial and bone marrow cell-specific, Tie2 receptor tyrosine kinase and has potential therapeutic applications for the induction of angiogenesis, enhancing endothelial cell survival, and preventing vascular leakage. In this study, we examined whether Ang1 directly exhibits bone marrow protection after ionizing rad...
متن کاملProtection against radiation-induced testicular damage in Swiss albino mice by Mentha piperita (Linn.).
The protective effects of Mentha piperita leaf extract against radiation-induced damage in testis of Swiss albino mice have been studied. Animals (Male Swiss albino mice) were given M. piperita leaf extract orally (1 g/kg body weight/day) for three consecutive days before radiation exposure (8 Gy gamma-radiation). Mice were autopsied at 1, 3, 7, 14, and 30 days after irradiation to evaluate the...
متن کاملAsbestos-induced autoimmunity in C57BL/6 mice.
Environmental impacts on autoimmunity have significant public health implications. Epidemiological studies have shown associations between exposure to airborne silicates, such as crystalline silica or asbestos, and autoimmunity, but the etiology remains unclear. The purpose of this study was to test the hypothesis that asbestos could lead to a specific pattern of autoantibodies and pathology in...

Objective(s): The present study was aimed to evaluate the effect of methanolic fruit extract of Momordica cymbalaria (MeMC) against high-fat diet-induced obesity and diabetes in C57BL/7 mice.Materials and Methods: In the present study, six weeks old male C57BL/6 mice were divided into four groups. G-1 and G-2 served as lean control and HFD control, G-3 and G-4 received MeMC 25 and 50 mg/kg, BW ...
متن کاملImmunization of C57BL/6 Mice with GRA2 Combined with MPL Conferred Partial Immune Protection against Toxoplasma gondii
BBackground: We have previously reported that immunization with GRA 2 antigen of Toxoplasma gondii induces protective immunity in CBA /J (H2k) and BALB/c mice (H2d). We aimed to examine whether immunization of a distinct strain of rodent with recombinant dense granule antigens (GRA2) combined with monophosphorryl lipid A (MPL) adjuvant elicits protective immune response against T. gondii. Metho...
